Former Roc-La-Familia artist “Tru Life” plead guilty to the charges of manslaughter today in court, in which the New York rapper will be serving an eight-year prison term. This stems from the 2009 death of Christopher Guerrero following an altercation that also included the rapper’s brother Marcus Rosado, who also pleaded guilty and will be serving a ten-year sentence. If you remember, last week it was first reported that Tru Life was offered to take a sentence of ten years, both have already served a year and a half credit while in jail following the incident.
Statement from their lawyer Alan A. Ambramson:
“Robert and Marcus Rosado accepted responsibility today for their role in the tragic incident that occurred in June 2009. They wish to express their deepest sympathies to the Guerrero family and they hope that by accepting responsibility he can bring some measure of closure to the family.”
