Meet baby Blue Ivy Carter. The first photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy surfaced on Tumblr, revealing a beaming Beyonce holding her bundle of joy.
There's no doubt that Blue is the spitting image of her famous mom and dad. The baby girl is peacefully sleeping in the snapshots as Beyonce looks on with a smile from ear to ear.
Jay-Z shared the intimate family photos via his website, Life and Times, with the words "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter family."
Yesterday Jay-Z created history by becoming the first rapper to headline a show at the famous Carnegie Hall, which was the first of the two benefit concert nights at the venue. He performed the Blue Ivy Carter dedication ‘Glory‘ for the first time and also brought out special guests Nas & Alicia Keys (below).
Jay wasn’t kidding when he said he makes history for a living. The new born baby Carter comes out the womb making a mark, as she currently holds the title for the youngest individual to chart on Billboard, this comes through the recently released single called Glory by Jay-Z that contains samples of his daughters voice.
Blue Ivy Carter, who was brought into the world Saturday (Jan. 7), is now the youngest person ever credited with gracing a Billboard chart, as Jay-Z’s newly-recorded studio cut “Glory” – officially billed as “featuring B.I.C.,” an abbreviation of Blue Ivy Carter – begins on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at No. 74.

As you already know, Jay and Kanye shot the video for ‘N***as In Paris’ at the Staples Center in Los Angeles a couple of days ago during their Watch The Throne tour stop. This is the first look at the shoot courtesy of Assistant director Branden King.
The Throne decided not to outdo Chicago’s record of playing ‘N***as In Paris’ more than 8 times last night at the Staples Center but they did give a shout out to the man responsible for the monster, Hit-Boy.
Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘N***as In Paris’ rose from 15 to 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week thus giving the pair their first top 10 hit from Watch The Throne. With this rise, Jay-Z has become the rapper with the most songs in Top 10 (18) beating Lil Wayne and Ludacris’ earlier record of 17 titles. Kanye West is now up to 14.
As predicted and expected, The Throne broke Detroit’s record by performing ‘N***as In Paris’ as many as 8 times in the ChiTown. Same song eight times in a row. We wonder how that feels in the stadium.
The Throne were in a mood to outdo Miami by performing the monster ‘N***as In Paris’ track 6 times in row. They picked Boston as the city to do it on Monday. Watch Jay-Z and Kanye go ape sh*t after announcing the “record”.
Jay-Z and his clothing brand Rocawear have apparently canceled its newly announced Occupy Wall Street themed T-Shirts after criticism from many social organizations for trying to profit from an otherwise social cause.
The legendary rapper was mainly attacked after it was disclosed that none of the profits from the sales of the shirts were going to help the protestors. The alphabet “W” in “Wall” was canceled out to mean Occupy All Streets. The shirts were priced and $22 but have now been taken off from the Rocawear website. A leader of the protest said this to TMZ:
“To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet”
The Throne played their second night at the Madison Square garden last night. During their performance of ‘Made It In America’, Jay and ‘Ye honored the late Heavy D with a RIP shout out.
During their tour stop at the Madison Square Garden last night, Jay-Z and Kanye received Platinum plaques for their Watch The Throne album. In this pic, Island Def Jam Group President & COO Steve Bartels and Universal Republic & Island Def Jam Chairman & CEO Barry Weiss present the honor to the duo.
The mystery guest and the only one on Rihanna’s upcoming 6th studio album Talk That Talk is none other than her mentor Jay-Z. Hit Norwegian producer duo Stargate have revealed to 730.no that Jay will reunite with Rihanna on the title track of the album.
“This is the first time we do a song with Jay-Z and Rihanna together. Actually it’s the first time Jay does anything on our beats, It was about time.
‘Talk That Talk’ is a mid-tempo banger with hard drums, dirty synths, and Rihanna and Jay at their best. We are very happy with the song and Jay’s verse is crazy—same with Rihanna’s part.”
VOYR gives us a brand new trailer for the upcoming Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch The Throne Tour that is sure to have fans in a frenzy.
Although there has been some big name album releases this year, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne‘ collaboration project still remains the talk of the hip hop community.
With little to no promotion, the album from two of hip hop’s greatest managed to sell almost 500,000 copies in just its first week on retail shelves and digital download.
