Game has been discussing possible options for his future. Birdman expressed his interest in making him a Cash Money signee, and during an interview with MTV's Rap Fix, he discusses Rick Ross wanting him on the Maybach Music team.
Only a day after premiering the song, Game drops a video for “Holy Water,” which he released as the second installment in his “Sunday Service” series. Look out for the Ma$e cameo!
Game speaks on the current West Coast scene especially Kendrick Lamar. He also chimes in on 'Jesus Piece', which he mentions will feature J.Cole along with a slew of other guests.
Yesterday, Ne-Yo announced that he had changed the title of his forthcoming album from Cracks In Mr. Perfect to The R.E.D. Album which was also the name of rapper Game’s 4th studio album released last year.
But Game doesn’t seem to have problem with it. He tells XXL:
“I dont know what that’s about, but I’ve always known Ne-Yo to be a cool dude, so I’m pretty sure he got his reasoning. More power to the lil’ homie.”
Game and Ne-Yo collaborated on ‘Gentleman’s Affair’ and ‘Camera Phone’, two of the songs from his 2008 album L.A.X.
VH1 went Behind The Music of The Game yesterday, where his early life and ups and downs throughout his career were documented including his rift with 50, fatherhood and contemplating suicide.
We had a look at pictures from the shoot of Game’s new video with Kendrick Lamar last month. Here’s a better view in form of a behind the scenes clip. Music video coming soon.
Two days ago, footage surfaced of Game allegedly spitting on a female fan. The rapper spoke with XXL on the incident and the events leading up to it.
“This girl and her dude were at the concert, and we had a meet and greet. It was like 100 people, plus we have to get to an after-party, so we [focused on] doing everything on schedule. You shake my hand, I sign one thing from each person and take a picture with each person. So, they wanted to hold up the line, and there’s other people behind ’em, and we got time constraints. They acting crazy, [saying], ‘we paid all this money and we can’t even chill!’ I guess they wanted to chill, go back to the hotel and smoke with a nigga and be my kid’s godfather. So, security had to take them out because they got a little crazy.
We go to the after-party and here are these same two people. They by the VIP [area], kind of doing the heckling shit, and throwing shit, throwing Red Bull cans. But ain’t none of it hitting me. The dude starts spitting loogies and drinking shit and spitting it. The shit started getting closer and closer to where we was at. He keeps spittin’ and finally, the fuckin’ shit hit me. So I went over and I fuckin’ spit.
“My spit hit the fuckin’ ground. That girl didn’t have no spit on her. The dude didn’t have no spit on him. They just saying some shit, making a scene, and then they left. That video don’t show me spitting on nobody. I didn’t spit on nobody, but, I definitely tried to spit on the bitch. I just missed. But I’m not the best at aiming spit. Me, to get up and spit on somebody? I’m not doing that unless I’m provoked.”
In a new interview with XXL, Game has announced the title of his fifth studio album F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution. We assume that the Soundtrack To Chaos title has been dropped. The Black Wall Street rapper is also set to drop a new mixtape later this month. Here he is explaining the name:
"The meaning behind that is like—me as a rapper, you as a journalist, Kobe as a basketball player—you gotta be afraid to do something, or have those butterflies in your stomach,” he explained about the title. “We all get that feeling. Before you did your first interview, you probably was like, ‘Damn, I don’t want to ask the wrong questions. I want to do this right.’ Me, before I wrote my first rap, or the first time I was in the booth. Fear. But then fear is victory’s evolution. After a while, you become a dope journalist, I become a dope rapper, Kobe is Kobe. You achieve and you pass over that fear. Now it ain’t fear; it’s just victory. It’s victory of all.”
Game also hints at leaving Interscope after this album:
“Jimmy Iovine is, shit, probably weeks out from opening the budget for my fifth album,” the Compton native said. “And then once I do this F.I.V.E. album, it might be a wrap. We’ll see. I know somebody going to give me some millions before I do anything. I see myself getting a lot of money to carry out the remaining time in my career. It don’t really matter where it’s at—it’s just the imprint on the back of the album.”
Things aren’t looking too good for west coast MC The Game right now. Yesterday a North Carolina appeals court upheld a 2011 ruling which makes the rapper have to pay $5 million in compensatory damages to five Greensboro police officers who according to MyFox8, claim they were libeled and slandered and that their identities were wrongfully used in Game’s DVD “Stop Snitchin’ Stop Lyin”.
The officers apperance on the DVD was caused an October 2005 incident at Four Seasons Mall where a Mall security guard asked them to leave due to disturbance, when they refused he called the cops to arrest Game and his entourage for criminal trespassing, communicating threats, and disorderly conduct.
The officers in question claimed the video was heavily edited” and made it appear “as though Taylor was wrongfully arrested,” the court ruling states.
Game has been ordered to pay each officer $1 million in compensatory damages. The officers also have another suit which claims $10 million in punitive damages. Another trial has been set to see if that number is justified.
Here goes a fairly old record by Game, which is a R.E.D. Album leftover, produced by Jazze Pha. A nice cut for the ladies and Jazze Pha helped make that happen. Check it out below.
The video for this dark dream team collaboration of "Martians Vs. Goblins" from The Game / Lil Wayne / Tyler, The Creator has made it's way to the waves. In visual form, it's more or less what you might expect, creepy contacts, un-sanitary conditions, and a few plugs for Beats By Dre (all however without Weezy). The R.E.D Album is out now
DJ Skee was on the sets of Game’s upcoming video for ‘Martians vs. Goblins’ and here’s some behind the scenes action from the shoot. Video directed by Matt Alonzo coming soon.
It's been a minute since this game snippet track leaked, but now we get the full version. This joint is dope, i don't know why it didnt make the L.A.X album cut.
Game lends a verse on Amy Steele’s ‘Angel Fall’, the debut commercial single from the 20 year old British singer / songwriter. This is taken from her upcoming debut album due in 2012. Produced by The Futuristics.
