Fashion: $55,000 Bag!!

Posted by Tendai Chisvo On 23:43

The Olsen Twins and Damien Hirst

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have partnered on a capsule collection of 9 bags with artist Damien Hirst for their brand The Row. Hirst has applied artistic motifs that he's used in the past to the luxurious alligator leather styles that The Row has become known for. Both Hirst's spot paintings and medicine cabinet themes have returned in this collaboration that benefits UNICEF.
And something that you might remember about The Row? Last season's $39,000 price tag on a backpack that sold out. Well now the Olsens have upped the ante, and if you happen to have an extra $55,000 laying around, head on over to cop the bag !

Future looking High Top Under Armour Charge Shoes.

Posted by Tendai Chisvo On 13:07

Though they're not exactly like the Nike Air Mag—the glorious Back to the Future shoes—these Under Armour Charge BB Basketball Shoes are so comically high top that they feel like they're from the same future. The UA Charge promises the support of a high top with the feel of a low top. The upper is made of two-pieces to "articulate" around your ankle to keep it secure while the entire shoe uses sweat-wicking materials to keep your foot cool, dry and hopefully stinkfree.

Inside the shoe are foam pods, Micro G foam cushions, TPU shanks and Micro G sockliners—all purposefully placed to prevent twists and rolls and add cushion and comfort. It's a basketball shoe from the future.

Heutchy looking to fill sartorial void in shoes

Posted by Tendai Chisvo On 01:34

In the mind of casual-to-contemporary footwear designer Wells Stellberger, there’s a prominent and unacceptable problem when it comes to men’s shoes. “You see people wearing formal footwear, broken in, as an everyday shoe and on the contrary you see someone wearing something very casual to a formal event,” says Stellberger. Looking to fill this sartorial void, the former Marc By Marc Jacobs designer launched his line Heutchy (pronounced Hi-Chy) in 2008.

Comprised of shoes constructed from rich, supple leathers set atop Japanese soles, the Spring 2011 line reflects Stellberger’s footwear philosophy. “That’s the beauty of shoes. There’s such a wide range where the wearing is really defining how the shoe is functioning.”

Throwback: Kanye Keri Hilson Front Row at Jeremy Scott Show

Posted by Canrus On 20:34

Kanye West was the lucky man in the middle of Keri Hilson and Vanessa Hudgens at Jeremy Scott’s Fall 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Milk Studios in New York City today. Yeezy, dressed in a hooded red leather jacket, shades, and a black cap, sat front row alongside a blonde Miss Keri, who snapped pics with her “No Boys” bedazzled BlackBerry.

The 28-year-old “Pretty Girl Rock” songstress explained how her style has evolved throughout the years. “Growing up, I was a lot more boyish,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “I only shopped in the men’s department of Rich’s and Macy’s. My mom would drop me off in the men’s section and do her shopping in the women’s section.”
