New Video: Kelly Rowland - 'Down for Whatever'
These last months we've seen the resurrection of R&B Kelly Rowland - Her new album "Here I Am" got released (after many delays), and she made the tough decision of stopping her streak of DANCE singles, and opted to please her US fanbase who she knows are more supporters of her R&B melodies. Thankfully for Kelly, she got it right! Her singles "Motivation" & "Lay It On Me" have both received a great response by the US audience; "Motivation" went #1 on the R&B charts, and the newly release "Lay It On Me" is climbing spots and gaining radio presence steadily.
However, Kelly is now a judge on The X Factor UK, and that means she's been given SUCH a powerful platform to try and win over again her UK fans, and the rest of Europe by default, who she had lost with her last poor single ("Forever and a Day"). Her new European single is the RedOne-produced "Down for Whatever." (DL)

Kelly Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ finally hit stores last week. And after 7 days on shelves, the LP’s first week sales are now in.

According to Hits Daily Double, Rowland’s third studio set shifted 76,399 copies, landing it at #3 on the Billboard 200. And though fans will have to wait for Soundscan’s tally for final verification, history has shown their figures to not be far off.

Kelly Rowland Responds To ‘Motivation’ Diss
As Kelly Rowland is gearing up for a heavy promotional push of her July 26th slated ‘Here I Am’ album, the singer spoke with BET.com to address one of the week’s biggest headlines.
Famed producer Jeff Bhasker, whose production credits include R&B leading ladies’ Alicia Keys and former bandmate Beyonce (‘4′) albums, took to Twitter to say:

On Bhasker’s comments:
“You know what, the record speaks for itself. Opinions are like **sholes, everybody’s got one. He’s made wonderful music with my sister and other artists. There’s no reason for me to say anything negative. Cause I won’t tell you the thought that is really in my head. I’ll just kill ‘em with kindness.”
On the success of ‘Motivation’:
“Number one feels like number one. It feels wonderful. Especially for it to be on the charts so long. I think ‘Motivation’ opened up a different chapter for me. It really did.[...][The album] is along the same lines when it comes to an urban sound. When I listen to everything back to back, when I was sequencing it, that’s when it felt really good in my spirit.”
On her BET Awards performance:
“I was dreaming about performing on the BET Awards stage. I would dream and pray about it. When you ask God for it , he’ll deliver. Then he wants to throw Trey Songz in it. Trey and I had really great chemistry. We rehearsed. We were prepared and excited.[...]I wasn’t expecting that kiss, trust me. I didn’t even know he did that until after. When you’re on stage and you’re moving…it was really weird.”
